WALKING FOOTBALL

Walking Football is a slow-paced version of the beautiful game, if you thought your footballing days were over, then think again.

It was designed to help people keep an active lifestyle irrespective of their age, as well as getting people back playing who perhaps had to stop due to injuries. It’s a great way to keep fit, learn new skills, have fun and socialise all at the same time.

At Keynsham Town the popularity of our Walking Football section continues to grow as it offer an inclusive and friendly environment for our members which caters for both men and ladies. We offer a number of sessions throughout the week and also participate in leagues and tournaments throughout the season. Our members also benefit from concession prices on our men’s senior season tickets, getting the opportunity to enjoy the match day experience and support the K’s. You also get to play on the first team pitch and take advantage of our first class facilities.

We operate a Turn Up and Play policy. If you are new to walking football you are welcome to come along and watch or just have a chat. As we use a 3G pitch football boots are essential, but we have several pairs so you can try it out before buying your own. Afterwards we usually retire to a nearby café for a hot drink.

All sessions last for an hour so, if you intend to play, please arrive at least 15 minutes before to allow time for changing, warming up and any announcements.”

But its not just about the football, our Walking Football section also supports the local community and charities so its a great opportunity to get involved, keep yourself active and feel part of the community. They also provide valuable support in providing match day hospitality at First Team home fixtures, and are an integral part of the football club.
