Thank you to all our supporters and sponsors for all your support this season, to say it’s invaluable to us is an understatement, whether it’s sponsoring a player to sponsoring the club or paying at the gate, every penny helps and ultimately contributes to Our Club being able to compete at this level.
I’d like to take this opportunity to thank our committee, President , Chairman Secretary & Treasurer. In short, a group of volunteers who have worked tirelessly to help transform our club. There are so many factors to running a club and a lot of the really important stuff gets done silently behind the scenes. Your support has been invaluable and quite frankly, without you all, we would not be where we are today .
It’s been a long season, our first full one since being promoted 3 seasons ago, and it’s not over yet. Saturday’s 2-1 win over 3rd placed Mousehole was our final league game, which saw us finish 10th pending Buckland & Helston rearranged match. We amassed 53 points which I have been reliably informed is our highest return at this level since 1974/75 season.
I write this as the Manager but in truth I am part of a management team, my job is impossible without Russ, Josh, Rich &Jamie We work so closely as a team we share all our ideas thoughts and opinions which I feel creates a Healthy environment where every decision is dissected and considered, however I will take this option individually to thank them for their vital input and hard work over the season.
On the pitch we couldn’t be prouder of each and every one of our players. Individually and collectively they have been superb. I couldn’t wish for a more humbler, hard working and talented group of lads. They have helped elevate our club to another level since promotion 3 seasons ago and have the potential to become the most successful Keynsham Town Team in our History.
So, with officially one game to go, a Les Phillips Cup Semi Final This Wednesdayaway at Cadbury Heath 7.30 ko, I urge you all to come along and support this fantastic group of players in what would be a historic night as we attempt to get to the Les Phillips Cup Final for the first time in our history.
